About Me

I was born and raised in the Boston area, playing lots of different sports throughout my childhood. By the time I got to high school, I had found the most joy in playing ice hockey and rowing crew and conveniently neither of these sports required running. However, once I got to college, I struggled to find a fitness routine outside of organized sports. My sophomore year, a couple friends convinced me to train for and run my first half marathon and after crossing the finish line I was hooked. That night, I signed up for my first full marathon and running became a staple piece of my college experience to manage both my physical and mental health.
After graduating college with an engineering degree, I moved to Chicago to start my first job. I quickly found myself overwhelmed by the stress of my demanding job, however leaning into my relationship with fitness helped me to manage it. I continued to tackle as many races as my schedule would allow and spend lots of time in the gym working on strength and yoga.
Eventually just working toward my own goals was not enough, so I began creating training plans for my coworkers and friends to help them prepare for their first races. This led to hours of meticulous research on the best ways to train for races of all distances and implementing new learnings into my own training cycles. After lots of trial and error (and more injuries than I would have liked), I decided to get my RRCA run coach certification so I could feel more confident in helping my friends and start gaining coaching clients. I also realized that running is just one piece of the training puzzle so I sought my NASM personal trainer certification and became a certified yoga instructor. Recently, as my own training interests have expanded, I also sought my USA Weightlifting Level 1 certification and my CrossFit Level 1 Trainer credential. Having all of these tools helps me provide well rounded training to my clients so they can tackle any goals whether they be related to running, strength, or just feeling ready for life!
Working with other people to ignite their passions for health and fitness is what truly drives me. Having explored and learned about many areas of fitness myself, I am well equipped to help others discover their fitness niche. Getting messages from people who are shocked by the distance they can run or how much they can squat makes me so proud that I get to share my passion for fitness with others.
I am currently based in New York City and am willing to work with clients both in person and online. You can also find me at Life Time and Bodied Fitness Club.
